Description:
Merritt Properties’ Customer Service Department is currently looking for 2 experienced HVAC Mechanics. Mechanics are responsible for the daily maintenance of our commercial rooftop equipment . Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics and parts replacement (including reversing valves and compressors)
- Proper refrigerant handling
- Daily interaction with tenants and personnel
The ideal candidate must be able to address the concerns and maintenance needs of our customers in a friendly and professional manner. A successful HVAC Mechanic must have good organizational abilities, follow-up skills, and attention to details both in their work and when communicating with our customers. They must have high-energy and commitment to high performance in a busy, multi-task work environment. Journeyman license and experience with commercial rooftop equipment preferred.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have CFC license
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Own vehicle and tools
- 3 years verifiable work history
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Fluent in English
- Basic knowledge of email and texting
- Able to work weekends and after-hours if necessary
