MERRITT CONSTRUCTION SERVICES TO RENOVATE NEW RESTAURANT LOCATION
The Corner Stable to Open Additional Location in Columbia
BALTIMORE, Maryland (September 20, 2011) --Merritt Construction Services, a division of Merritt Properties, has been selected to renovate the former Michael’s Pub restaurant in Columbia to make way for The Corner Stable restaurant. This will be the first additional location for the iconic and homegrown restaurant since they began their operation in 1972.
“The Corner Stable has been looking to expand into Howard County for the past four years. We felt that the area needed a locally owned and operated family restaurant, and our research showed that The Corner Stable format would be well received,” said Charles “Chip” Reed, owner of The Corner Stable. “The proximity of Columbia to Interstate 95 and Route 32 and 29 made it the perfect location for our initial expansion.”
The Corner Stable restaurant is a family-friendly restaurant that specializes in fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs and colossal lump crab cakes. The restaurant also offers a large menu of sandwiches, burgers, homemade soups and desserts at reasonable prices.
